The methodology represents a set of psychophysical exercises aimed to prevent and treat diseases, to recover a functional system of a body. It is used to provide an overall human development, evolve his/her creativity, improve mobility, coordination, organism environmental stability, and to strengthen spine and joints, prevent human locomotor disorders. The task of this gymnastics is to launch correct operation of a single self-developing and self-regulating biological system of a person through the exercises optimal from the biomechanics point, thereby developing and improving his/her locomotor system and exploiting individual motor potential to the maximum. “Spiral” gymnastics is based on the work of two counterweights - shoulders and pelvis, which are rotated in a position of stable balance within the perimeter of a body.

The “Spiral” gymnastics includes a set of exercises with and without training devices, which are performed in an endless manner (circle, figure-eight pattern, etc.), have no stops or angles. Muscle strength is used to hold a limb or training device running down - in a plane provided by the anatomy structure of a person. Hence, performing these exercises helps to create a core and work at minor muscles, which are not engaged in normal movements, around each rotating joint in the body. Circular limb rotations create three types of effects on the joint: stretching, twisting and spring function. A gradual increase of the joint rotation amplitude allows improving its motor potential.

One of the key points of the gymnastics is to keep balance. The absence of distortions, asymmetric loads as well as correct position of the center of gravity is central to spine health. “Spiral” gymnastics helps to form a core, strengthen spine and joints, prevent spinal disorders (herniation, scoliosis, chondrosis), recover after injuries and strokes, harmonize metabolism, lose weight, and ensure harmonious work of all protective systems of the body!
