The main goal when developing the "Golden Triangle System" ( or "GTS") was to minimize the time spent on acquiring applied motor skills, on creating appropriate reflexes in response to extreme situations. These reflexes form sustainable behavior patterns, which allow suppressing aggressor's attacks in the shortest time and with the lowest possible losses among military personnel, security forces and various social groups.
Training of military-applied skills, which are involved in the strategy of conducting local hybrid warfare, calls for expansion of the bounds of specialised knowledge and skills, brought to the level of natural reflexes.
"GTS" represents an innovative platform that consolidates diverse military-applied sports, traditional martial arts, military expertise in engineering training and chemical safety training, parachute training and first-aid in the field.
Methodologies of «GTS» allow for a quick change from unarmed close-quarters combat to combat with the utilization of special means, including melee weapons and firearms. The foundation of the training methodology includes practical experience gained during combat operations in Afghanistan, anti-terrorist operations in Syria and the Caucasus, along with innovative programs developed by the staff of the Research Centre of the Military Institute of Physical Culture of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
The «GTS»’s methodological council consists of international-level instructors of various types of martial arts. Instructors have experience in service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, experience in service in Russian security forces units and combat experience. For their servitude, instructors received departmental and governmental awards. Besides instructors, educators and doctors with academic degrees and who are authors of patented recreational and rehabilitation methods.
The wide application of the authorial methodology focuses on the training of personnel of law enforcement units and private security and training youth both below the age of conscription and above.
«GTS» methods are applied to the training of contestants of military-applied type of sport «Army tactical and shooting all-around competition». This sport was registered by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation in the fourth section of the «All-Russian Register of military-applied and service-applied sports» in March 2021. By order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, following the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the development of military-applied sports, the «Russian Army Tactical Shooting Federation» was created, which develops this military-applied sport. «GTS» provided the basis for this new military-applied sport.
The uniqueness of using «GTS» as a training method for this military-applied sport lies in the fact that it involves the integrated application of both tactical combat and using all kinds of Armed Forces of the Russian Federation service weapons, including both melee weapons and firearms, with elements of hand-to-hand combat and firstaid.
Every «GTS» instructor is an expert in both armed and unarmed martial arts. He works for the result, which price is a human life. The great potential of «GTS» and its vast area of application makes it possible to increase the level of training of servicemen of the Armed Forces, personnel of law enforcement agencies, private security structures and security services, and to ensure high-quality training of pre-conscription youth for service in the Armed Forces.
