Tactical Training

It is aimed to develop optimal actions for the complex use of several types of small arms and melee weapons in a dynamically changing target situation, obstacles arising from various positions, with reloading, weapon selection and active change of firing positions. Tactical training classes include the following disciplines:

  • «distance – 1 person (single)»;
  • «distance – 2 people (two)»;
  • «distance-group» (from 3 people or more).

The distances include exercises for performing tasks in various conditions (examples: 1. Combat in the city; 2. Capturing a building and holding it; 3. A battle in the ruins of settlement; 4. Tunnel combat; 5. Actions during the evacuation from a damaged vehicle).

Target layouts created for field firing correspond to the set-up of possible enemy units taking into account potential losses and their tactics. Targets (shooting marks) are set to the depth of the fighting orders of the designated enemy. The number of targets for field firing relies on the appendix to the competition rules or training course.

Еhe marksmanship manager specifies the target profile and location against the existing tactical situation, facilities used for shooting and nature of actions taken by these units.

The quantity of targets depends on the number of arms within a unit and ammunition allocation.

Besides, redundancy targets are created, which the marksmanship manager can use during field firing so that the units being trained can solve unexpected tasks, maneuver, and use them instead of unshown targets.

The marksmanship manager allocates targets (shooting marks) for hitting between fire means based on the forces and facilities used for field firing, land environment, where field firing takes place, and ammunition state.

The marksmanship manager specifies the order and duration of target demonstration, direction and velocity of moving targets, and the method of fire simulation depending on the tactical policy, target profile, projected decisions and trainees’ actions, shooting distance and the time of day.

Total time of target demonstration depends on the time necessary for shooters or target to cover the distance from the target start line to the target finish line.
