The main goal of the «GTS» is to teach the trainee to develop the ability to take optimal actions and to learn complex use of various types of firearms and melee weapons, special means, hand-to-hand combat techniques and first aid skills in case of injury to the level of reflex skills.

The main objectives of «GTS» training:

General physical training:

  • To develop basic physical qualities with particular emphasis on dexterity, through the complex coordination exercises and exercise aimed to increase general endurance;
  • to form the basis for special physical training for specific military applied sport, for military or work activity (PSC, Security Service of Enterprises);
  • To develop and strengthen special qualities – a sense of balance, vestibular sense, concentration. These qualities contribute to the development of proprioception sensitivity and the development of skills to control the stabilization of the torso as well as weaponry, which are the main factors for the improvement of shooting results;

Specialized physical training:

  • Mastering and developing optimal actions of military personnel with the use of several types of firearms and melee weapons, special mean, hand-to-hand combat techniques and medical training in the environment of dynamically changing target situation, arising obstacles from different positions, with reloading, with a selection of weapon and with the active change of firing positions;
  • consolidation of advanced methods of weapons and tactical training, close combat with melee weapons;
  • training military personnel to perform tasks under different conditions and implementation of new forms of training of personnel;
  • to form high moral and will (psychological) qualities, ingenuity and determination, self-confidence against huge physical and mental stress;
  • to build the partnership and mutual assistance, to achieve greater coherence and solidarity;

Specialized innovative approaches for the development of proprioceptive receptors and muscle memory.

Techniques and moves, as they are being developed, are learned as formal patterns for working in pairs. The progression from the simple to the complex does not create any difficulties for a learning process because each following complex is based on previously studied material. Subsequently, trainees will be able to form their formal complexes and form a unique battle pattern.

  1. Familiarization with the sequence and involvement of various parts of the body while performing basic movements and fighting techniques in a relaxed state and with demonstrative slow execution;
  2. Utilization of special exercises from functional training, which repeat biomechanics of actions and motions that are based on basic pressure and actions experienced in battle conditions. These exercises form «neurological learning».
  3. Inspection of muscle memory during conduction of close combat techniques and actions against running up partner.
  4. Training sessions regularly take place in an environment that simulates a real-life situation.
  5. During the training sessions roles are alternating between trainee and coach. The student is tasked to explain learned techniques to the partner.
  6. During the learning process trainee gets a full understanding of what he is doing and how to implement his knowledge in real battle. His brain and body are synchronized;

Training program «GTS» includes not only work with firearms and melee weapons but also sections that contain health and rehabilitation methodologies. For example, the author’s program «Spiral» makes it possible not only to offload the pressure from the spine by creating a muscle corset around it but also to improve the results of shooting training by forming a solid shooting platform within the trainee, which ensures accurate shooting even when moving.
